I have tried many different ways of generating revenue for my site. The following are my most successful.

1. Google Adsense

Many report not being able to match their earnings with any other ad network than with Google Adsense. With Google Adsense you can make channels or advertisements about your site to target other advertisers. By doing this you are able to bring in more advertisers to your site which then turns into more money. There are also a wealth of sites and videos dedicated to helping teach you how to use Google adsense to make money.

3. Adbrite

This is an ad network which offers a wide variety of ads including popup ads, banner ads and text link ads and full page ads. It’s similar to Google Adsense in that you can advertise for advertisers. Their ads are also pay per click and pay per view. Once you've set up channels to target advertisers, you can then choose to have the ads posted on your site to be targeted towards your site only or to filter through the ads yourself and choose the ones you want. Some people report making more with Adbrite than they did with Adsense.

2. Sponsored Ads

This site offers pay per click and pay per view. After installing their ad code you will begin to earn revenue just from people viewing the ads. The ads that they display on your site are many of the same ads displayed on Google Adsense. In fact Sponsored ads combines many different ad networks together.
